Der Begriff der ausdrücklichen Zustimmung setzt ein Subjekt voraus, das sich selbst vollkommen transparent ist und die Auswirkungen seiner Zustimmung exakt antizipieren kann. Der vorliegende Aufsatz schlägt den Begriff der »Grenz-Zustimmung« vor, der uns verschiedene Formen des Nachdenkens über das »Sexuale« und über die analytische Begegnung eröffnet. »Grenz-Zustimmung« meint ein eher nuanciertes Aushandeln von Grenzen; es wird dann möglich, wenn ein Subjekt sich einem anderen gegenüber empfänglich macht – also einen Zustand annimmt, der weder aktiv noch passiv ist. Das, was die Autorin »Überwältigung« nennt, birgt Risiken, könne aber unter gewissen Umständen einen Raum für bedeutsame psychische Transformationen eröffnen. Ein ausführlich erörtertes klinisches Beispiel zeigt, wie die »Überwältigung« sich in der klinischen Begegnung manifestieren und wie sie in die Dynamik von Übertragung und Gegenübertragung eindringen kann.

The concept of affirmative consent presumes a subject who is fully transparent to herself and who can anticipate the precise effects of her assent. This essay proposes limit consent, a concept that offers us different ways to think about the sexual – and about the analytic encounter. Limit consent involves a more nuanced negotiation of limits and becomes possible when the subject makes herself passible to another – a condition that is neither active nor passive. Processes described in depth here suggest that passibility has ties to the rousing of infantile sexuality (Freud) and to the subject’s normative perversity (Laplanche). When the psychic economy of the infantile sexual is followed to its apex, a particular kind of state is produced that the author calls »overwhelm« – a word that is used here as a noun. Overwhelm is a state of dysregulation that can be confused with, but is not the same as, repetition compulsion. Overwhelm entails risk, and under some circumstances it may open up space toward significant psychic transformations. A detailed clinical example illustrates how overwhelm may make itself known in the clinical encounter, and how it can infiltrate the transference/countertransference. Specific technical suggestions are made regarding analytic work with overwhelm.

Le concept de consentement explicite présuppose un sujet qui est entièrement transparent à soi et peut anticiper avec exactitude les effets de son consentement. Cet article propose le concept de « consentement limite » qui élargit la réflexion sur le « sexuel » et sur la rencontre analytique. Le « consentement limite » signifie une négociation plus nuancée des frontières ; il devient possible lorsqu’un sujet se rend réceptif à un autre – c’est-à-dire assume un état qui n’est ni actif ni passif. Ce que l’autrice appelle la « maîtrise » comporte des risques, mais dans certaines circonstances, la maîtrise peut ouvrir un espace pour des transformations psychologiques significatives. Un exemple clinique longuement étudié montre comment la maîtrise peut se manifester dans la rencontre clinique et s’insérer dans la dynamique du transfert et du contre-transfert.

Die Arbeit untersucht, wie während des Transformationsprozesses der Geschlechterordnung zeitgleich die Vorstellungen von dem, was bis vor kurzem als pervers galt, einerseits aus der Pathologie-Sphäre gelöst und für die Konstruktion der Pathologie andererseits die Verletzung der Konsensmoral sowie eine mangelnde Fähigkeit zur Selbstkontrolle zentral werden – und zwar vor allem in Hinblick auf Männer. In den ICD-11-Leitlinien für die paraphilen Störungen und die sexuell zwanghafte Verhaltensstörung geht es nicht mehr vorrangig um qualitative oder quantitative Abweichung von der Norm, sondern um das Nicht-Erreichen-Können von Verhandeln bis zum Konsens und mangelhafte Selbstkontrolle. Praktiker in Feldstudien können anhand dieser Merkmale durchaus verlässlich paraphile Störungen einordnen. Die Konzentration auf Konsens und Selbstkontrolle verleugnet allerdings zweierlei: erstens die zentrale Bedeutung der Sexualität selbst und zweitens die von Männlichkeit und Weiblichkeit. Dem Konzept des »limit consent« von Saketopoulou wird der Wiederholungszwang als pathologisches Merkmal paraphiler Störungen gegenübergestellt. Bisher nicht ausreichend untersucht ist die Frage, ob paraphile und sexuell zwanghafte Störungen für Männer und Frauen vergleichbar konstruiert werden können.

With reference to the ongoing transformation of sex/gender categories, the article discusses how the notions of what until recently was considered perverted are on the one hand divorced from the pathological and on the other have assumed central significance for the construction of pathology in terms of a violation of consensus morality and a defective capacity for self-control, mostly in men. The ICD-11 guidelines for the classification of paraphilic disorders and sexually compulsive behavioral disorders no longer revolve primarily around qualitative or quantitative deviations from the norm but around the loss of the ability to negotiate for consensus and a lack of self-control. Practitioners in field studies can indeed avail themselves of these features for entirely reliable classifications of disorders as paraphilic or otherwise. But the focus on consensus and self-control leaves two things out of account, first the central significance of sexuality and second the significance of maleness and femaleness. The author confronts Saketopoulou’s concept of »limit consent« with compulsive repetition as a pathological feature in paraphilic disorders. So far, too little attention has been given to the question of whether paraphilic and sexually compulsive disorders can be constructed in a comparable way for men and women.

Cet article examine comment, au cours du processus de transformation de la différence sexuelle, les représentations de ce qui était considéré encore récemment comme pervers sont simultanément retirées de la sphère de la pathologie, d’une part, et comment, d’autre part, les violations de la morale du consensus et le manque de maîtrise de soi prédominent dans la construction de la pathologie — surtout chez les hommes. Dans les directives de la CIM-11 sur la paraphilie et les troubles du comportement sexuel compulsif, l’accent n’est plus mis principalement sur l’écart qualitatif ou quantitatif par rapport à la norme, mais plutôt sur l’incapacité de négocier jusqu’au consensus et sur le manque de maîtrise de soi. Dans les études de terrain, les praticiens peuvent classer de façon fiable les troubles paraphiliques en fonction de ces caractéristiques. Toutefois, mettre l’accent sur le consensus et la maîtrise de soi revient à nier deux choses : premièrement, l’importance centrale de la sexualité elle-même et deuxièmement, celle de la masculinité et de la féminité. L’article oppose la contrainte de répétition comme caractéristique pathologique des troubles paraphiliques au concept de « consentement limite » proposé par Saketopoulou. La question de savoir si les troubles paraphiliques et les troubles sexuels obsessionnels sont construits de manière comparable chez les hommes et les femmes n’a pas encore été suffisamment étudiée.
