Frühe Trennungs- und Bindungstraumata sind psychisch unverdaulich und hinterlassen »tote«, nicht symbolisierte Bereiche in der psychischen Struktur. Von einem Teil der Patienten mit derartigen Traumata wird eine Übertragungsform der primären Bezogenheit zu einem »Objekt als Prozess« (Treurniet) schon sehr früh in der Analyse hergestellt oder zumindest gesucht. Träume und nichtsprachliche Kreationen können dabei Zugangsmöglichkeiten zu den traumatisch bedingten »Löchern« in der psychischen Textur ermöglichen und sind Ausdruck reparativer Symbolisierungsprozesse. Besonderheiten dieser Übertragungsbeziehung werden anhand von Bildern und Plastiken einer Analysandin anschaulich gemacht. Behandlungstechnische Überlegungen zur Verringerung des Risikos von Retraumatisierungen werden erörtert.

Symbolization of early separation traumas and the formation of new representations. Experiences from the analysis of a former institutionalized child
Early separation and attachment traumas are psychically »indigestible« and leave »dead,« unsymbolized patches in the psychic structure. Very early on in the analysis of some patients with traumas of this kind the attempt is made (successfully or not) to achieve a transference form of primary relatedness to an »object as process« (Treurniet). In this endeavor, dreams and non-linguistic creations may facilitate access to the trauma-related »holes« in the psychic texture. They are the expression of reparatory symbolization processes. The article draws on pictures and sculptures produced by a female analysand to illustrate the specific nature of this transference relationship. The author also discusses therapeutic techniques for reducing the risk of recurrent trauma.

Les traumatismes de séparation et d’attachement sont psychologiquement impossibles à digérer et laissent des domaines »morts«, non symbolisés, dans la structure psychique. Une partie des patients ayant un tel traumatisme établit, ou du moins recherche, très tôt déjà dans l’analyse, une forme de transfert des rapports primaires à un »objet en tant que processus« (Treurniet). Les rêves et les créations non linguistiques peuvent alors permettre l’accès aux »trous«, dus aux traumatismes, dans la texture psychique, et ils sont l’expression des processus de symbolisation réparatrice. L’auteur illustre les particularités de cette relation transférentielle à l’aide de tableaux et de sculptures d’une analysante. Il discute également les réflexions de technique thérapeutique sur la diminution du risque de retraumatisation.

Je länger Analysen dauern, um so eher kommt es zu unbewussten Abstimmungen zwischen Patient und Analytiker, die der Aufmerksamkeit entgehen können und die sich einer psychischen Veränderung entgegenstellen. Der Widerstand wird als dynamischer Schutzvorgang im Hier und Jetzt eingeführt, als eine unbewusste Aktivität des Ichs mit Kompromissbildungen zum Schutz vor einer momentanen Überwältigung. Ein solchermaßen dynamisch wirkender Widerstand schafft die Übertragungs-/Gegenübertragungsbeziehung, die zum Verständnis der inneren Welt dient. Zugleich stehen Übertragung und Gegenübertragung selbst im Dienste des Widerstands und verhindern die Unterscheidung manifester und latenter Beziehungsebenen. Einige Maßnahmen des Widerstands werden an zwei Stundenprotokollen aus einer Analyse untersucht. Die Übertragungsvorgänge werden auf die gegenwärtige Situation und auf die Ebene infantiler Konflikte und ihrer Lösungen bezogen und in ihrer Intersubjektivität untersucht. Zum Verständnis wird das Konzept der Aktualisierung herangezogen. Analytische Veränderungen sind nach Auffassung des Autors nur möglich, wenn die entstellende und entstellte Verankerung unbewusster Konfliktlösungen in der Beziehung zwischen Patient und Analytiker nicht ganz gelingt und der Analytiker seine Funktion wiedergewinnen kann. Einige Hindernisse auf Seiten des Analytikers werden beschrieben.

Resistance, transference, and danger to psychic balance
The longer analyses last, the more likely it is for unconscious complicities to occur between patient and analyst that may escape attention and interfere with psychic change. Resistance is a dynamic protective process in the here-and-now, an unconscious activity of the ego forming protective compromises against momentary subjugation. Dynamic resistance of this kind creates the transference/countertransference relationship that enhances understanding of the inner world. At the same time, transference and countertransference themselves serve resistance and obviate the distinction between manifest and latent relationship levels. The article draws upon two analytic session protocols to discuss the measures resorted to by resistance. The transference processes are seen in relation to the present situation and the level of infantile conflicts and their resolution, and the discussion concentrates on their intersubjective nature. To facilitate understanding, the author utilizes the concept of actualization. In his view, analytic changes are only feasible if the distorting and distorted anchorage of unconscious conflict resolutions in the relationship between patient and analyst is not entirely successful, so that the analyst can revert to his true function. Obstacles on the part of the analyst are discussed.

Résistance, transfert et mise en danger de l’équilibre psychique
Plus les analyses durent longtemps, plus grande est la probabilité qu’il y ait des accords inconscients entre le patient et l’analyste, qui peuvent échapper à l’attention et qui s’opposent à une transformation psychique. La résistance est introduite comme un processus de protection dynamique hic et nunc, comme une activité inconsciente du Moi avec des formations de compromis pour protéger d’un débordement momentané. Une telle résistance qui agit de manière dynamique crée la relation de transfert/contre-transfert servant à comprendre le monde intérieur. En même temps, le transfert et le contre-transfert sont eux-mêmes au service de la résistance et ils empêchent la distinction entre les niveaux de relation manifestes et latentes. Certaines mesures de la résistance sont analysées à l’aide de deux comptes-rendus de séance d’une analyse. Les processus de transfert sont rapportés à la situation actuelle ainsi qu’au niveau des conflits infantiles et de leurs solutions, et analysés quant à leur intersubjectivité. Pour mieux comprendre, l’auteur fait appel au concept d’actualisation. Selon la conception de l’auteur, les transformations analytiques ne sont possibles que si l’ancrage déformant et déformé des solutions des conflits inconscients dans la relation entre le patient et l’analyste ne réussit pas entièrement, et si l’analyste peut retrouver sa fonction. L’auteur décrit également certains obstacles du côté de l’analyste.

Theorien zur Entwicklung des Selbst haben sich durch Befunde der empirischen Säuglings- und Kleinkindforschung zu Zwei-Personen-Theorien gewandelt. Dem Einfluss der Bezugspersonen auf die Selbstwahrnehmung wird zentraler Stellenwert beigemessen. Fokus dieser Arbeit ist das kontinuierliche Eingebettetsein des Selbsterlebens in die geistig-seelische Innenwelt bedeutsamer Anderer, beginnend in der Beziehung zwischen Mutter(-figur) und Kind, heilend in der Verbindung zwischen Therapeut (w/m) und Patient (w/m).

Out of sight, still in mind? The self in the other
Findings in empirical research on babies and infants have turned theories on the development of the self into two-person theories. Crucial significance is attributed to the influence of reference persons on self-perception. The article focuses on the constant rootedness of self-experience in the inner mental and psychic world of significant others, beginning with the relation between mother (figure) and child. In the relationship between therapist and patient it takes on a healing function. The author’s remarks are substantiated by clinical examples.

Les résultats des recherches empiriques sur les nourrissons et sur les très jeunes enfants ont transformé les théories du développement du self en théories sur deux personnes. On attribue une grande importance à l’influence des personnes de référence sur la perception du self. Le centre de ce travail est l’intégration continue du vécu de soi dans le monde intérieur psycho-intellectuel d’autres personnes importantes, elle commence avec la relation entre (la figure de) la mère et l’enfant, et elle est curative dans la relation entre le thérapeute et le patient.
